Tanagra is the creation made by the second generation of Sébastien and Jean Charles who combined forces to produce a wine that embodies their vision of winemaking. Each bringing his experience, Jean-Charles his vast experience of producing a wine with this technique and quality, Sébastien his knowledge of oak through our involvement in the cooperage with Nadalié. Their different styles and combined efforts resulted in this unique top of the range Syrah.
A limited production completely hand made in an artisanal way, from vineyard to bottle packaging, exclusively vinified in NADALIE French and American oak barrels. The grapes were picked, selected, destemmed, and placed into the barrels by hand. The maceration, fermentation and then ageing during a whole year, took place within barrels. The barrels are not a final element, but the unique container from the reception of the grapes till the final blend.
The influence of the Pacific Ocean breezes on Casablanca Valley bless the grapes with an extended maturation period. We named this wine in honor of these winds. In Greek mythology, TANAGRA was the daughter of Eole, the god of the wind.
